Roy and Blanche have adjusted to a new way of living since selling their home . With home ownership behind them, they’re enjoying retirement with far fewer responsibilities. Roy described his health situation and how home maintenance became a stressor. Given his circumstance, “food preparation was challenging before. Now we just show up and eat.”
At the community they reside in, they get to enjoy the little things everyday. Rather than the monotony and minutia, Blanche commented that “ our new living situation is very relaxing. We can do whatever we want to do: paint, golf, and enjoy life.” Needless to say, Roy and Blanche feel like they made the right decision.
