Dual agency

This refers to a real estate agent that represents the buyer and seller. It is not common when it comes to buying and selling a home, as conflicts of interest may arise during the transaction. In some states, such as Texas, Colorado, and Maryland, dual agencies are considered illegal. Some buyers and sellers choose dual agencies because they consider the transaction to be more streamlined by working with one agent.
